Opening of the Carondelet Park Rec Plex

After several months of anticipation, the Carondelet Park Rec Plex opened Thursday to an enthusiastic crowd of elected officials, neighbors and volunteers. The Rec Plex is a partnership with the City of St. Louis Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. This 76,000 square foot handicap-accessible facility is located at 930 Holly Hills Boulevard in Carondelet Park.

The facility is open for a variety of classes and programs for all ages. Amenities include an indoor pool, vortex, lazy river, and 2.5 story waterslide. There are over 45 cardiovascular machines ( Elipticals, Arc trainers, Treadmills, NuStep, eSpinners), community rooms, three multipurpose rooms, family and individual locker rooms.

The Rec Plex is open Monday-Friday 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
