Gravois Business Association Luncheon
by Mary Cullins
On Thursday, March 4th the Gravois Business Association hosted a complimentary lunch prepared by Italian chefs and served by local elected officials. The lunch was provided for many area business owners, active members of the community, and volunteers in the Bevo/Gravois neighborhood.
Close to 100 lunches were served by Aldermanic President Lewis E. Reed, Collector of Revenue, Greg Daly and Aldermen Fred Wessels, Stephen Gregali, Jennifer Florida, and Joe Vaccaro.
It may also be noted that Alderman Stephen Gregali prepared his famous red sauce, and Alderman Joe Vaccaro made his debut with Shrimp Pasta in crème sauce. Angelo Sita, Commercial District Manager for the area, was also a featured Italian chef who prepared his white pasta with bacon.
Two special ladies were also recognized this year. Ms. A.J. Hornsey received a community service award for many years of dedication to the Gravois neighborhood and business community. Ms. JoAnne Martin received recognition for serving over 25 years as a block captain on Delor Street, as well as taking care of the Business Men’s lot.
We thank Jennifer Bess, President of the Gravois Business Association for doing a wonderful job again this year.
