This Weekend in St. Louis
This is another busy weekend with lots of options to keep busy this weekend. The following is a few different ideas for a beautiful (hopefully) June weekend.
1. Soulard Market Park Arts and Crafts Fair
A stop by the Soulard Market is a great start to any Saturday, but this weekend there is even more to enjoy. The Soulard Market Park Arts and Crafts Fair is a new series for this summer and features local artists, street performers, food vendors and live music. In conjunction with Paste, this event will feature many local artists showcasing their work. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
2. Lafayette Summer Concert Series
If you are in the mood for some jazz or blues, swing by Lafayette Square for the Lafayette Summer Concert Series. Every other Saturday for the entire summer St. Louis’ best will be performing in the first park west of the Mississippi River. The music talent, Pepperland, starts at 6 p.m. and will run through 9 p.m. For more information visit lafayettesquare.org.
3. St. Louis Uncorked “A Wine & Music Festival”
From 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Soldier’s Memorial in Downtown St. Louis will be filled with live music, food, and over 50 different wines to sample. Artists being featured include: Griffin & The Gargoyles, Jeffrey David, Kim Massie, Soulard Blues Band, and Groove Thang. The best part? Admission is free. For more information: stluncorked.com.
4. World Cup
St. Louis is in the World Cup spirit and many of our finest bars are offering specials during the games. This weekend catch the Netherlands vs. Japan, Ghana vs. Australia, or Cameroon vs. Denmark at one of the many locations featuring the games. The Riverfront Times has a list of bars participating (here).
