Opening of Crown Food Mart #6

North St. Louis welcomed another option for the citizens in the 5th Ward today.  The Crown Food Mart #6 at 1513 N. 13th Street will provide a variety of options including fresh produce.

 The food mart was welcomed by several elected officials including President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed, Aldermen Davis, Florida, and Ford Griffin who constantly strives to improve the 5th Ward.  Alderwoman Ford Griffin expressed her excitement at the event about how the market was set up to the public.  Owner Sam Salamah also expressed his commitment to the community.

 The City of St. Louis and its respective agencies were involved in this project includ the LRA Commission and Pat Bannister of the St. Louis Development Corporation.  This is a welcome addition to the 5th Ward and further sign of the progress of our City.
