September 16th, Board of Aldermen meeting
The Board of Aldermen reconvened from their summer recess Friday September 15, 2011. A total of 28 bills were introduced and read for the first time.

Alderwoman Lyda Krewson made a motion to prefect Board Bill # 107 An ordinance amending to the animal laws of the City, amending sections of Ord. 67799, 66384, 62941 and 62853 and enacting in lieu thereof a new ordinance pertaining to the same subject matter, a new section requiring the spaying and neutering and micro-chipping of dogs and cats, a new penalty section, a new section prohibiting the pet store sale of dogs and cats; containing a severability and emergency clause.
There were varius concern voiced by several Aldermen and Alderwomen and after lengthy debate Alderwoman Krewson which asked that BB # 107 be placed on the informal calendar.
Alderwoman April Ford Griffin announced that she was resigning her position as Alderwoman of the 5th Ward to become the Director of St. Louis City Civil Rights Enforcement Agency.
The meeting was adjourned by President Lewis Reed at approximately 11:20 am.
