Cardinals First Look At The Starting Lineup
21-year-old Trevor Rosenthal threw 100 mph for the Cardinal as he showed his fastball for all to see allowing only one hit to the Miami Marlins.
Matt Holliday is looking very healthy (knock on wood) and hit a leadoff homer off of St. Charles hero Mark Buehrle, sending him to the shower after 70 pitches. Cardinals starter Jake Westbrook held the Marlins for four innings.
The Cardinals received good news as righthander Chris Carpenter pitched 30 fastballs in a bullpen session. Happy to announce Carp said he felt good, strong, a step in the right direction”. Until carp returns Lance Lynn will take his starts.Lynn is enjoying the innings as he works on a change up to perfect for his relief appearances.
Lance Berkman will be at first base after resting his sore left knee along with the rest of what can be considered the starting lineup for opening day against the Miami Marlins April 2nd.
